Parent Representatives

Each class has two representatives (delegates) who are responsible for guiding other parents, sharing knowledge and relaying concerns to the school. At the start of the school year, the class teacher will seek parents to fill this position. Two alternate representatives may also be chosen. The role is to improve communication and understanding between parents and education.
At the secondary level, the parent delegates take part in the end-of-year class council to discuss educational issues, orientation and the atmosphere of the class. Delegates produce a short summary of the discussion to distribute to parents.

The Parents and Friends association is a group of volunteer parents who work to promote social interactions between parents through welcome picnics and fundraising events to support the school: bake sales and the end-of-year school fête. They also share information on holiday activities, and coordinate tutoring and babysitting lists. Please see the LCS website for the contact information of the Parents and Friends Association.
